John Howie
John Howie founded Frequency Tattoo Company in 2014, bringing nearly three decades of tattooing experience to the East Falls neighborhood. His work spans traditional American styles to detailed portraiture and fine line work. John started tattooing in 1996, working in shops across the Philadelphia area before opening Frequency. His philosophy is simple: treat every piece as a collaboration, listen more than you talk, and never rush the process. His specialties include traditional American work, black and grey portraiture, and fine line designs. Whether it's a sailor-style anchor or a photorealistic portrait, John brings the same level of care and precision to every piece.
Liz Glitz
Liz brings a bold, colorful approach to neo-traditional tattooing, with an emphasis on ornamental details and whimsical subject matter. Liz's work is instantly recognizable—bold outlines, rich colors, and a sense of playfulness that sets her apart. She draws inspiration from Art Nouveau, vintage illustration, and the natural world. Her ornamental work incorporates intricate patterns and decorative elements, while her neo-traditional pieces feature saturated colors and dynamic compositions. She loves working on florals, animals, and anything with a touch of magic.
BG Galdes
BG's illustrative style draws from comic books, street art, and contemporary illustration. Her work is characterized by strong linework, dynamic compositions, and colors that demand attention. She particularly enjoys large-scale pieces that allow for detailed imagery and bold color gradients. From abstract designs to character-driven work, BG approaches each tattoo as a chance to create something truly unique.
Bird
Hi, I'm Bird (they/fae), I'm a designer & artist with degrees from the Fashion Institute of Technology. When I'm not tattooing, I'm out at a rave or volunteering with animals. I work in various styles: surreal, abstract, nostalgic, low poly, ultra colorful, holographic, and illustrative tattoos — either machine, handpoked, or both. I love to collaborate on interesting ideas that fit my art style!
